Reading Day Celebration 2026

 


Reading Day Celebration
was observed with great enthusiasm at Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad on 24 June 2026, with the objective of promoting the habit of reading and fostering literary awareness among teacher trainees. The programme highlighted the significance of reading as a lifelong learning practice and encouraged students to cultivate a culture of regular reading.

The celebration was inaugurated by Dr. M. P. Narayananunni, Principal, who addressed the gathering on the importance of reading in shaping knowledgeable, reflective, and responsible teachers. In his inaugural speech, he emphasized that reading not only enhances academic knowledge but also broadens perspectives, strengthens critical thinking, and contributes to the holistic development of individuals. Report on World Environment Day Celebration 2026

World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, on 5 June 2026 under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” The programme was organized with the objective of creating environmental awareness among teacher trainees and fostering a sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation and sustainable living.

The celebration featured the campaign “One Student, One Seed of Hope,” which encouraged every student teacher to contribute to environmental protection by planting a sapling. The programme highlighted the message that every individual has a vital role in preserving nature and combating climate change through simple yet meaningful actions.

As part of the celebration, a campus tree plantation drive was conducted in which student teachers and faculty members actively participated by planting saplings in different parts of the college campus. The plantation initiative symbolized the institution's commitment to enhancing green cover and promoting biodiversity. Each sapling represented a collective pledge to nurture nature and create a healthier environment for future generations.

A Green Pledge was also administered during the programme, where participants pledged to adopt eco-friendly practices, conserve natural resources, reduce pollution, and promote sustainable development in their personal and professional lives. The pledge reinforced the values of environmental stewardship and inspired the participants to become ambassadors of environmental protection in their future classrooms and communities.

The programme emphasized the importance of integrating environmental values into education and encouraged future teachers to cultivate ecological awareness among school students. Through active participation in the plantation drive and pledge, the celebration strengthened the participants' understanding of their responsibility toward environmental sustainability.

The programme concluded with a message encouraging everyone to continue planting trees, conserving natural resources, and adopting environmentally responsible practices throughout the year.

National Mathematics Day & Teaching–Learning Materials Exhibition

 


Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad celebrated National Mathematics Day in memory of Srinivasa Ramanujan by organizing a Teaching–Learning Materials Exhibition on 23 December 2025. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of mathematics in education and to encourage innovative pedagogical practices among student teachers.

Workshop on “AI Tools for Future Educators”



Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, in association with the IQAC, organized a one-day workshop titled “AI Tools for Future Educators” on Monday, 22 December 2025, for student teachers. The workshop aimed to familiarize future educators with emerging artificial intelligence tools and their applications in teaching and learning processes.

The session was handled by Mr. V. K. Sasidharan, Retired AEO and IT Expert, who provided valuable insights into the role of AI in education, digital teaching tools, and innovative classroom practices. The workshop emphasized the responsible and effective use of AI to enhance instructional delivery, assessment, and learner engagement. The programme was highly informative and enabled teacher trainees to develop technological competence essential for modern educational environments.

Awareness Programme on “Different Abilities, Equal Dignity"

Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, in collaboration with the IQAC, organized an awareness programme titled “Different Abilities, Equal Dignity” on 03 December 2025, in connection with World Disability Day. The programme aimed to sensitize teacher trainees towards inclusivity, empathy, and respect for persons with different abilities.

Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad organized its Sports Meet 2025 on Thursday, 4th December 2025, with the objective of promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and holistic development among teacher trainees. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. M. P. Narayananunni, Principal, and was efficiently convened by Mr. Fysal M.K.

Community Living Camp “ഇവിടം 2K25” – Report

Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad successfully organized a four-day Community Living Camp titled “ഇവിടം 2K25” from 12th to 15th November 2025 at Aashrayam Rural Development Society, Kollengode, Palakkad. The camp was conducted with the objective of fostering social responsibility, community engagement, cooperation, leadership qualities, and value-based living among B.Ed. teacher trainees. The programme provided an experiential learning platform where students actively participated in community-oriented activities while living collectively in a rural setting.

നവ 2K25” Talent Day Programme 2025



The Talent Day Programme of the 2025–27 B.Ed batch, titled “നവ 2K25”, was organized by Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad on 25th August 2025 at the college auditorium. The event aimed to provide a creative platform for student teachers to exhibit their hidden talents and artistic skills.The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. M. P. Narayananunni, who highlighted the importance of cultural and co-curricular activities in developing a holistic teacher personality. He encouraged students to use every opportunity to enhance their confidence and creativity.


The event was coordinated by Ms. Poornima and Ms. Samgeetha, whose sincere efforts and excellent coordination ensured the smooth and vibrant conduct of the programme.

Convocation Ceremony 2023-25 Batch


 

The Convocation Ceremony for the B.Ed. Batch 2023–25 of Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, was held on 25th September 2025 at 10.00 a.m. in the College Auditorium. The event was organized to celebrate the successful completion of the academic journey of the outgoing batch and to mark their formal transition from student teachers to professional educators. The programme began with an academic procession followed by a prayer song that created a solemn and inspiring atmosphere. The Principal extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, faculty members, students, and parents, highlighting the academic achievements and holistic growth of the graduating batch.

National Seminar on “Navigating the Digital Wave in Education: Redefining Culture and Society”





Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, in collaboration with the Council for Teacher Education Foundation (CTEF) Kerala, organized a National Seminar on “Navigating the Digital Wave in Education: Redefining Culture and Society” on 15th October 2025. The seminar aimed to explore the transformative impact of digitalization on education, culture, and society. The programme began with a prayer and a welcome address by Mrs. Rajitha N.K., Seminar Coordinator, followed by a briefing on the theme by Mr. Kunhimoideen P., IQAC Coordinator. Dr. M.P. Narayananunni, Principal, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of integrating digital literacy into teacher education. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Rajendrakumar Anayath, Hon’ble OSD, Government of Haryana, and former Vice Chancellor of DCRUST University, who highlighted the evolving digital paradigm and its role in redefining learning and social interaction

Student's Union -2025-26

The Students’ Union for the academic year 2025–26 at Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, was formed with the objective of fostering student leadership, participation, and collaboration in all academic and co-curricular activities of the institution. The newly elected union is led by Parthan as chairman and Pavitra as vice chairperson, with Lubaba serving as general secretary and Fathima Rinshiya as joint secretary. Shanu Nazal holds the position of university union councillor (UUC), while Shabana serves as fine arts secretary and Fahmida as editor. Sooraj leads as the general captain. The union aims to promote student welfare, uphold democratic values, and organize a range of programs that enhance campus life and nurture leadership, creativity, and social responsibility among students.
