Batch (2026–2028) with a special orientation programme aimed at introducing the students to the institution's academic environment, values, and professional expectations. Art and Drama Workshop 2026

Art and Drama Workshop

Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad organized an Art and Drama Workshop on 2 July 2026 with the objective of nurturing creativity, self-expression, and artistic skills among teacher trainees. The programme was designed to familiarize future teachers with the educational significance of art and drama as effective pedagogical tools for promoting experiential learning, creativity, and emotional development in the classroom.

ICT Workshop 2026

Report on Two-Day ICT Workshop

Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad organized a Two-Day ICT Workshop on 29th and 30th June 2026 from 10:00 a.m. onwards with the objective of enhancing the digital competencies of teacher trainees and equipping them with modern technological skills for effective teaching and learning. The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with emerging ICT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that can enrich classroom practices and improve educational outcomes.

Reading Day Celebration 2026

 

Reading Day Celebration was observed with great enthusiasm at Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad on 24 June 2026, with the objective of promoting the habit of reading and fostering literary awareness among teacher trainees. The programme highlighted the significance of reading as a lifelong learning practice and encouraged students to cultivate a culture of regular reading.

The celebration was inaugurated by Dr. M. P. Narayananunni, Principal, who addressed the gathering on the importance of reading in shaping knowledgeable, reflective, and responsible teachers. In his inaugural speech, he emphasized that reading not only enhances academic knowledge but also broadens perspectives, strengthens critical thinking, and contributes to the holistic development of individuals. He encouraged the students to make reading an integral part of their daily lives and future teaching profession.

Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad celebrated International Yoga Day with a series of meaningful programmes on 22nd and 23rd June 2026 to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic health among teacher trainees. The celebration aimed to create awareness about the significance of yoga in maintaining a balanced lifestyle and encouraging healthy living practices

World Environment Day Celebration 2026

 

Report on World Environment Day Celebration 2026

World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Salafiyya Training College, Karinganad, on 5 June 2026 under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” The programme was organized with the objective of creating environmental awareness among teacher trainees and fostering a sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation and sustainable living.

The celebration featured the campaign “One Student, One Seed of Hope,” which encouraged every student teacher to contribute to environmental protection by planting a sapling. The programme highlighted the message that every individual has a vital role in preserving nature and combating climate change through simple yet meaningful actions.

As part of the celebration, a campus tree plantation drive was conducted in which student teachers and faculty members actively participated by planting saplings in different parts of the college campus. The plantation initiative symbolized the institution's commitment to enhancing green cover and promoting biodiversity. Each sapling represented a collective pledge to nurture nature and create a healthier environment for future generations.

A Green Pledge was also administered during the programme, where participants pledged to adopt eco-friendly practices, conserve natural resources, reduce pollution, and promote sustainable development in their personal and professional lives. The pledge reinforced the values of environmental stewardship and inspired the participants to become ambassadors of environmental protection in their future classrooms and communities.

The programme emphasized the importance of integrating environmental values into education and encouraged future teachers to cultivate ecological awareness among school students. Through active participation in the plantation drive and pledge, the celebration strengthened the participants' understanding of their responsibility toward environmental sustainability.

The programme concluded with a message encouraging everyone to continue planting trees, conserving natural resources, and adopting environmentally responsible practices throughout the year.
